At TruOrtho, we are committed to providing quality care and education in the field of orthopedics and proud to participate in the Perry Initiative. We recognize that women are underrepresented in the field of orthopaedics and engineering, so we strive to provide educational opportunities that will increase participation.
Through the Perry Initiative, we are providing young women with exposure to the field of orthopaedics with hands-on experience and lectures, as well as encourage and support them as they pursue their dreams.
Our team of experienced orthopaedic surgeons, Dr. Amanda Marshall-Rodriguez, Dr. Jamie Lynch and Dr. Naomi Shields, have all been involved in the program since 2012, 2013 and 2018 respectively.
We are passionate about helping spread the message of women's empowerment in orthopedics and strive to make a difference in our community and look forward to continuing to be part of this important initiative.
The Perry Initiative inspires young women to be leaders in Orthopaedic Surgery and Engineering by partnering with medical centers, universities and high schools nationwide.
TruOrtho's Amanda Marshall-Rodriguez, M.D., Jamie L Lynch, MD, and Naomi Shields, MD, will be participating April 15th at the South Texas Spine & Surgical Hospital.
